Buyers rush for first blocks at Westbrook
16 June 2015
The first land sales at the new Westbrook estate at Truganina in Melbourne’s west have been a sell-out success.
Sales commenced on 23rd May with a special public ballot held at Werribee Racecourse to determine the allocation of purchasers following huge advance interest.
“Our initial release of blocks for the ballot has sold strongly and the immediate demand has enabled us to quickly progress towards the next stage release,” Dennis Family Corporation Chief Executive Officer, Peter Levinge reported.
One of the first official buyers at Westbrook, Harsha Gunathilake, expressed his excitement at securing a block via the initial ballot.
“My family and I are thrilled to be planning our move to Westbrook. It will make the perfect place to raise our kids,” he commented.
Located just 24 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD, Westbrook is a 4,000-lot project that is set to become the largest estate to be developed in the northern Wyndham area. The development of Westbrook is being project managed by the Dennis Family Corporation on behalf of the owners of the 314 hectare land parcel.
The site occupies a prime location in the centre of a fast-growing community boasting schools, childcare centres and an abundance of local shopping already established within a five-kilometre radius of the estate and the newly constructed Tarneit Station located within the estate’s boundaries.
The Dennis Family Corporation’s detailed master planning for Westbrook encompasses everything its future residents will need, including a proposed town centre with retail and commercial facilities, a local community centre, secondary school, various parks and sporting and recreational amenities. The project seeks to promote its many natural assets will offer more that 32 kilometres of shared paths and trails throughout the estate.
“We have spent years planning Westbrook and are proud of everything it will offer residents. We identified everything our potential buyers would want in a community and then made sure we incorporated these features and facilities in our designs,” Mr Levinge explained.
“We are particularly proud of the way we are retaining and framing the natural elements of the land. Skeleton Creek and Forsyth Waterway are prime examples of the way we are not only working with the site’s natural geography, but improving and enhancing it for the better enjoyment of our future residents,” he continued.
Another feature of Westbrook’s planning is a network of pathways connecting existing water pools and creeks and preserving the local flora and fauna.
The Dennis Family Corporation has a long history of creating award-winning residential developments in Victoria and south east Queensland and the involvement of the Dennis Family adds confidence, strength and prestige to the Westbrook project.
Civil construction work for Westbrook’s first stage is scheduled to begin in September this year and will be completed by early 2016, enabling the construction of the first homes to commence.
