Large format retail opens at Tarneit Park Hub

2 January 2024

A total of 5,000 square metres of new additional retail space has been created in the large format precinct which accommodates tenants Repco, Autobarn, Fernwood Fitness, mycar, Salvation Army, and Petstock with an accompanying veterinary clinic.

All of the new retailers, with the exception of the Salvos store, were ready for opening on 9th December and add to the existing facilities at Tarneit Park Hub which commenced with the opening of the Bunnings store in July 2022.

Stage 2 of the project involved the construction of childcare and swim school facilities which are on track to open in late January 2024. These have been preceded in construction timing by the Starbucks, Hungry Jack’s and 7-Eleven stores that form Stage 3 which opened recently and are already performing well.

Stage 5 at Tarneit Park Hub will see the opening of a new hospitality and event venue, run by Werribee Football Club, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open In April 2024.

Tarneit Park Hub still offers further opportunities for potential expansion beyond the existing planned stages in the future.

Ranfurlie Asset Management Development Manager, Tim Crowe said that the tenants in the new large format retail precinct were excited to be able to commence trading in the peak Christmas period.

“The timing was exactly what we were driving for, particularly with the Bunnings store trading strongly and set to bring in even higher visitation numbers in the countdown to Christmas,” Tim said.

“In terms of an official launch, we’ll just let the retailers deal with the busy Christmas period and have a soft opening for Stage 4 in terms of promotion and then potentially look to do something in the New Year.”

Importantly for the smooth flow of vehicle traffic, a signalised intersection has been installed on Leakes Road to service the large format retail precinct.
