Dennis Family Corporation‘s sustainability philosophy is founded on our company values and extends to environmental, social and economic aspects of development and building.

Protecting and enhancing the environment is a key driver for Dennis Family Corporation’s developments and housing businesses.

Each community is masterplanned to create a beautiful environment for residents. Minimising impact on the environment is all part of this plan to a build a community that is cherished by its occupants.

Our communities feature networks of walking and cycle trails, teamed with environmental features like valued trees, heritage features and wetlands that benefit the entire community.

 

Compliance with the Environmental Protection Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act

Dennis Family Corporation’s Modeina Estate was originally granted approval under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1978 (EPBC Act) in July 2015.

The Approval was entitled “Burnside Development” and bears the EPBC reference 2011/6063.

On 7 March 2017, the Commonwealth Department of Environment and Energy (DoEE), in accordance with the Approval, endorsed the Modeina Estate Precinct 2, Project Area B (School Site) Offset Management Plan.

On 20 September 2017, the DoEE, in accordance with the Approval, endorsed the Modeina Estate Precinct 2, Project Area A1 Offset Management Plan and the Modeina Estate Precinct 2, Growling Grass Frog Management Plan.

More recently, on 9 November 2018, the DoEE endorsed the Modeina Estate Precinct 2, Project Area C1, C2 & D Offset Management Plan and the Modeina Estate Burnside Grassland Reserve Management Plan.

On 3 January 2024, Dennis Family Corporation issued the sixth Compliance Report – Year 6.

 

Modern Slavery Statement
