Single storey Inspirations series come into view in Melbourne north

Dennis Family Homes has opened a new display centre at the Aston estate in Craigieburn and the Mernda Villages in Mernda to showcase a fresh batch of single storey homes.

The Mortlake 272 and Beaufort 272 designs in Craigieburn and the Alexandra 292 design in Mernda are from the Dennis Family Homes Inspirations series. The designs take a fresh and contemporary approach to enhancing family life by applying smart innovations to create generous spaces and flexible floorplans.

“Single-storey home does not mean compromising on spaciousness. These designs are great examples of how to efficiently maximise the use of the block for entertaining and living,” said Marlene Adams, Dennis Family Homes Metro North Sales Manager.

The Mortlake and Beaufort designs feature an open-plan family, meals and kitchen area at the centre of the home with an alfresco to the side of the home, creating an expansive indoor and outdoor living space. Meanwhile, the Alexandra design has a combined meals, family room and games room looking out onto an alfresco area at the back of the home, perfect for gatherings all year round.

“In all of the designs, the master bedroom is located at the front of the home and the kids’ bedrooms occupy their own special zone. This separation provides family members their own space and privacy,” said Ms Adams.

The design team at Dennis Family Homes has added a number of optional extras to the displays to highlight new trends in home design.

Beaufort 272

The elegant Beaufort 27 square version contains three living rooms and four bedrooms. The living room at the front of the house leads to a private master bedroom. The living at the rear of the house is a great space for a games room, which can be closed off from the main living area.

The display has been modified to showcase an extended alfresco area. Attractive optional extras featured include the timber look floor and vertical screen in the entry hall, the wide Caesarstone kitchen island bench, built in cabinetry in the games room and the mirrored walls in the bedroom and family room. Large timber bi-fold doors have also been added that seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor entertaining space.

The Beaufort design requires a minimum width lot of 16 metres and is available in two smaller variations of 21 and 24 squares.

Mortlake 272

The Mortlake has been constructed with stunning optional extras such as a large entry pivot door, a display alcove and Tasmanian Oak ceiling in the entry hall, the Caesarstone kitchen island bench with waterfall ends, the light filled butler’s pantry and the large pocket door in the meals area that opens up to the alfresco.

The Mortlake display also exhibits easy ways to personalise a home. In the ensuite vanity wall and the bathroom bath hob, the design team has chosen the Everstone French pattern set mosaic to create a contemporary look. A screen has been installed in the study to open up the space and at the same time adds flair to the family hub.

Featuring the Boulevard façade, the 27 squares Mortlake display has been constructed with a Colorbond roof. The Mortlake design requires a minimum width lot of 14 metres and is available in 24 squares and 29 squares.

Alexandra 292

The living room in the Alexandra display has been fitted with a feature timber ceiling and a statement Jetmaster fireplace, which is set on polished concrete surround and showcase floor to ceiling tiled wall. These luxurious optional extras create a lavish space to relax.

Throughout the Alexandra display, the timber look has been frequently introduced as a design element, such as the timber lined ceiling in the entry and the timber lined/mirror feature wall in the master bedroom.

The flexible design of Dennis Family Homes means that spaces can be easily converted to suit family life, for example the linen cupboard has been transformed into a study nook. A window and sink has also been added to the pantry to create a light filled butler’s pantry, providing more workspace in the kitchen.

Other optional extras presented in the display include higher ceiling heights, additional floor tilling in the living areas and the Caesarstone kitchen bench.

The Alexandra design requires a minimum width lot of 14 metres and is available in a smaller 24 squares version.

The displays are open for viewing daily from 11 am to 5 pm.
