Moonlight cinema at Westbrook and Modeina

The DFC Marketing team recently introduced free movie night events for local families at the Modeina and Westbrook estates.

Paddington 2 was screened at the Modeina Moonlight Cinema on Friday, 15th March in the grounds of the newly-opened Burnside Primary School. The event brought together Modeina residents and Burnside Primary School friends, family and staff and the broader community, with over 350 people in attendance.  Adding to their enjoyment, attendees also enjoyed free pizza, empanadas, popcorn, choc top ice creams and water.

On the following evening, the Westbrook Moonlight Cinema staged in Westbrook estate’s Central Park provided a public screening of Christopher Robin which attracted an audience of almost 500 local residents, family members and friends, who snacked on complimentary popcorn, choc top ice creams and water while watching the movie.

Both the Modeina and Westbrook events were enhanced by perfect early Autumn evening weather. Based on the initial success, it is planned for the Moonlight Cinema initiative to be an ongoing feature of the marketing calendar in both communities.
