Golden Key unlocks $30,000 of upgrades

Ballarat couple Kevin and Melanie Robillard were excited to be drawn as the lucky winners of the grand prize in the recent Golden Key promotion offered exclusively to Dennis Family Homes customers.

As the major winners, Kevin and Melanie have the chance to select over $30,000 of luxury upgrade items for the double storey Marsden 352 they hope to soon begin building through Dennis Family Homes at the Robertson Place development in Alfredton.

Kevin was stunned to receive a congratulatory call from Dennis Family Homes Ballarat Sales Consultant, Kym Erbacher following the prize draw.

“When Kym called to let us know we had won, I thought she was joking at first,” he laughs.

Kevin and Melanie have two young children, a daughter aged five and a four-year-old son. The prize has added to the thrill of looking forward to creating a new home for their family.

“We are ecstatic. It’s like winning the lottery for us,” Kevin says.

The Golden Key promotion was an online competition administered through the Dennis Family Homes website. Entrants were required to locate a hidden Golden Key when using the uView360? virtual tour technology.

The duration of the competition spanned from 28th April to 8th June and attracted over 1,000 entrants. To be eligible for the major prize, entrants had to lodge a deposit on a new home with Dennis Family Homes during the qualifying period.

Separate to the major prize won by Kevin and Melanie, a total of 30 other weekly winners each received a $200 Coles Myer voucher.

According to Kevin, he and Melanie have already nearly agreed on how to spend their $30,000 windfall on their new home. Amongst the additional items in their sights are a fireplace, an island kitchen bench with waterfall edges and a range of other extras throughout the home including upgraded timber staircase, cupboards, flooring and lighting.

“We originally were going leave some of these items off our plans because you just can’t include everything, but this prize will now allow us to finish the home off just as we wanted it,” Kevin says.
