The 2015 Manor Lakes Community Fund invites local not-for-profit groups in the Wyndham area to apply for funding of one-off financial grants of either $500 or $1,000.
An annual initiative by the estate’s project manager, Dennis Family Corporation, the Manor Lakes Community Fund recognises the important role community groups play in connecting people and fostering the community spirit.
Since the establishment of the Manor Lakes Community Fund in 2003, over $215,000 has been awarded to local groups to assist a wide range of worthy projects.
“We received $1000 from the Manor Lakes Community Fund last year, which contributed towards our project to install a garden shed at the rear of the Iramoo Community Centre. We now have a space to hold our gardening workshops and the gardening group has benefited from having somewhere to store their garden tools and resources.” said Iramoo Community Centre Manager, Renae Paul.
“Dennis Family Corporation is proud to support the local communities in areas where we operate our business. We believe their efforts greatly contribute towards the liveability of our estates. We look forward to rewarding many more deserving applicants this year,” said Dennis Family Corporation Chief Executive, Peter Levinge.
The applications for the Manor Lakes Community Fund 2015 open on Monday, 6 July 2015 and will close on Friday, 14 August 2015 at 5 pm. An application form can be obtained online at www.manorlakes.com.au, by phoning (03) 9731 0277 or by visiting the Manor Lakes Land Sales Office at 2 Eppalock Drive in Wyndam Vale.
To apply for a grant, applicants must be a not-for-profit group which has been operating within the Wyndam City Council municipality for a minimum of 12 months.
An independent judging panel will assess the applications. Successful recipients will be notified in September and invited to the Manor Lakes Community Fund 2015 presentation evening on Wednesday, 7 October.
