Building Supervisor

About the role

We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Building Supervisor to oversee construction of residential sites in the Bendigo region. As a Building Supervisor, you will report to the Construction Manager – Ballarat & Bendigo and be part of a dedicated Construction team. Travel to construction sites in the Bendigo region is a requirement of this role. You will bring your excellent operational and management skills to this role, and be responsible day-to-day for the following:

  • Ensuring that our award-winning homes are built in line with budgeted timelines and costs.
  • Constructing homes to display home quality and QA benchmarks.
  • Ensuring that all contractors and staff meet required safety standards under OH&S legislation.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients, the Area Manager and Construction Manager.
  • Ensuring that all contractors have the required qualifications and insurances, and
  • Programming of trades and suppliers to meet construction timelines.

 

About You

Having worked in a similar position previously, your demonstrated knowledge of building processes, combined with your passion for delivering quality results to customers will see you excel in this role. You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to manage multiple projects through well-developed time management skills.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Significant experience in both volume residential building and construction
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry and/or Building Diploma preferred
  • Up to date knowledge of OH&S and other legislative requirements
  • Team management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Service
  • Level 2 First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Industry red card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full drivers’ licence
  • Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite, and
  • Full Australian working rights.
