Located on Lexington Drive within the Modeina estate, Burnside Primary School recently opened its doors to welcome its first students at the beginning of Term 1.

A State Government P-6 educational facility, the new school attracted 90 enrolments to commence its first year of operation.

“We have had a seamless start to the new year, with all the challenges that opening a new school poses, we believe that the students have settled in very well,” reports Burnside Primary School’s Foundation Principal, Davide Lombardi.

“We would like to acknowledge the community for assisting us to do this,” he adds.

As a state-of-the-art new school, Burnside Primary offers outstanding facilities for the delivery of both its educational programs and community ventures.

There are two Learning Community buildings at the school which can each house up to 200 students. The school also received funding for a Performing Arts and Physical Education facility that was delivered for the start of the 2019 school year.

Whilst many of the facilities are already in place, there is still more to come, including a playground and sandpit which the school hopes to have installed by the beginning of Term 2.
